• Supports the African Union request to the United Nations to have access to UN-assessed contributions for African-led missions mandated by the United Nations Security Council
• Believes that a comprehensive and medium- to long-term security policy for these regions should also focus on fostering resilience
• Stresses the importance of partnership with the UN, cooperation with other international institutions, notably the African Union, and dialogue with other regional and sub-regional organisations
