What it asks for, in the Parliament's words
- Calls on the Commission to assess the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement and China’s role therein
- Believes that the people-to-people dimension is also essential for basing competitiveness on the EU’s values and for effective European economic diplomacy
- Notes that the EU should strengthen its links with the host countries and present them with a credible and sustainable alternative offer for connectivity financing
