• Calls on the Member States to improve the implementation of existing legislation in line with the rulings of the Court of Justice of the European Union
• Welcomes the creation of the Commission’s zero-pollution action plan and points to the need for clear objectives to bring about genuine change, accompanied by specific targets for the different Member States and regions
• Points out that public transport services, especially in rural areas, are frequently unsatisfactory, irregular and expensive
