What it asks for, in the Parliament's words

• Calls on the Commission to report to the European Parliament on the effectiveness of the application of structural remedies in EU antitrust competition law cases, and on the challenges posed to them
• Calls on the Commission to give due attention and careful consideration to structural competition problems relating to gatekeeping positions of incumbent payment networks, which have only grown during the COVID-19 pandemic
• Welcomes the Commission’s appeal of the Apple ruling[14]; is of the opinion that the Apple case shows once again the need for sound State aid rules, taking into account beneficial tax regimes
