Adopted
516 in favour · 85 against · 91 abstained. 692 members voted.
What it asks for, in the Parliament's words
- Recalls that, as per Article 50(2) TEU, withdrawal agreements are to take account of the framework for the withdrawing state’s future relationship with the Union
- Notes that in this respect, the exit procedure provided for in Article 50 TEU has led both the EU and its Member States to reaffirm the Union’s constitutional identity
- Notes that the Withdrawal Agreement included a provision for early agreements on the future EU-UK relationship in the area of Common Foreign and Security Policy and CSDP
