What it asks for, in the Parliament's words
- Reiterates its call for the reorientation of tax systems towards an increased use of environmental taxation and to fight tax evasion and tax avoidance
- Underlines that funds and resources should be directed to projects and beneficiaries that spend the resources responsibly and effectively and for economically viable projects
- Notes that the general escape clause of the Stability and Growth Pact will continue to be applied in 2022 and is expected to be deactivated as of 2023, provided that the underlying justification of its activation ends
