What it asks for, in the Parliament's words

• Calls on Member States to ensure a level playing field and equal opportunities for all fishers to allow for fair access to marine resources
• Calls on the Member States to make their respective methods of distributing fishing opportunities publicly available, in line with the applicable data protection legislation
• Urges the Commission to improve and strengthen the collection of such data for recreational fisheries through an improved data collection framework and other policy instruments
