Adopted
319 in favour · 142 against · 19 abstained. 480 of 720 members voted; 240 did not.
What it asks for, in the Parliament's words
- Calls on the Commission to strengthen coordination with Member States ahead of the replenishment of international health initiatives, working towards a joint replenishment figure and a coordinated, multi-year approach
- Calls on the Commission to consider greater geographical flexibility for global health research cooperation, including by enabling stronger participation of partner countries beyond existing regional mandates, where relevant
- Recalls that any bilateral or regional health agreements should respect partner country ownership and health sovereignty and avoid purely transactional approaches
